The D dominant eleventh chord (abbreviated D11 chord) is a six-note chord consisting of the notes D, F, A, C, E, and G. The chord is formed by adding an eleventh to the D dominant ninth chord.

In practice, the third (F) and fifth (A) are often omitted from the D11 chord to avoid a very dissonant sound, and because it's not always possible to play all notes simultaneously.
